Our second keynote on Thursday, November 20, 2008 will be led by Tom Casey, GM for SQL Server Business Intelligence at Microsoft Corp. As a general manager within the SQL Server development team, Tom Casey is responsible for managing the overall strategy, design, development and delivery of SQL Server business intelligence technologies.
Our final keynote of the Summit will feature David J. DeWitt, a Technical Fellow in the Data and Storage Platform Division. DeWitt is creating and leading the Microsoft Jim Gray Systems Lab, a new advanced development center in Madison, Wisconsin for Microsoft. DeWitt has authored over 120 technical publications and served on numerous program committees and NSF Review Panels. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering (1998), a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2007), and an ACM Fellow (1995). He received the 1995 SIGMOD Innovations Award for his contributions to the database systems field.
